Setting Up Your Interactive NotebookAt the bottom of this page, you will find a photographed IN exemplar. Feel free to use the examples. I'm happy to share any resources, so email me with questions or requests!
The basic steps of setting up an IN follow:

Activities To Do With StudentsAfter students have had a chance to create their left side reflection over the lesson/term, give them an opportunity to see others and to find better ways to remember. Below are some fun, quick activities to try:

Interactive Notebook Example:
A district full of resources:
An Akins HS teacher, Ms. Unger, came up with some GREAT resources to use in an IN, which match a lot of her instructional videos: - IN pages for TEKS - Annotation for multiple genres - Annotation general helper I didn't use them in the IN pictures above because she only recently shared them. But, WOW! They are awesome! |
Ideas for making the notebook your own:
Many of the slides that were used to build this interactive notebook came directly from the PPTs used in class. I cut and pasted the slides I liked into one large PPT to make printing the slides for the IN easier and faster. I would then print the slides 2 or 3 per page (depending on the size I needed) and copy them for the student INs. |
Why recreate the wheel?
Teachers Pay Teachers - I found several interactive fold-outs from interactive notebooks on TpT. This is one of my favorite TpT stores. Have other favorite TpT stores or products? Let me know and I'm happy to link them! |
